a legacy that transcends time is a gift.

Written legacy projects preserve lifelong memories and reflect the depths of the human experience. Allow me the honor of crafting the vivid tapestry of your life, where every thread tells a story that’s distinctly yours.

first-person eulogy / Living legacy

Capture the story of your life, of you—authentically—narrated in your words, with your style. Leave behind a written legacy to inspire, comfort, and be remembered by.

What is the story you would like to tell about your life? The challenges you’ve overcome, the values that guided you, the relationships that shaped you. The lessons learned, the sources of inspiration, the small moments that sparked joy. Through this process, your story is professionally written—with you as the narrator.

Writing a eulogy for a loved one can feel overwhelming in the midst of grief. A prepared eulogy is a compassionate gift—it can serve as a prepared eulogy or memorial, provide the foundation for an obituary, and bring solace to those you leave behind by preserving your voice and the message you most wish to share.

This writing can be more than a reflection after death; it can be a meaningful expression while living. Many choose to share theirs during milestone birthdays, retirement celebrations, or intimate gatherings like Celebrations of Life (sometimes called “Living Funerals”).

Preparing a first-person eulogy or living legacy can be a powerful, cathartic process. It gives you the opportunity to reflect on your life and shape the way it is remembered.

what’s the process?

We begin with a discovery call to clarify your goal for this project. After our conversation, I’ll send a series of questions for you to reflect upon and, if you’d like, jot down notes.

We’ll then schedule a time for a recorded interview—in person for clients in San Antonio, the Hill Country, or Austin, and via Zoom for those at a distance. Plan for at least two hours of conversation, with space to share the names, dates, stories and important details.

My role is to listen closely, follow your lead, and capture your voice and personality with accuracy. Each tribute is as unique as the person reflected in it.

Following our interview, I will draft your story and deliver the first version within 10-12 business days. You will have the opportunity to request up to two rounds of revisions before receiving the final copy. Non-disclosure agreements are available upon request, and addendums can be created to honor future milestones or significant life events.

Most written tributes averages between 2,000–4,000 words—approximately 10–15 minutes read aloud.

End of life written legacy projects begin at $75 per hour. I welcome a complimentary call to discuss pricing, customization, or collaborative ideas for your tribute.

I also offer traditional eulogy writing services to those who need help organizing their thoughts amidst their grief. For this process I thoughtfully listen to stories and sentiments and review a series of questions to capture the essence of your loved one to create a personalized, heartfelt eulogy.

end of life writingS

As a death doula, I help gather final thoughts and farewells in writing.

Treasure written accounts of final musings and memories, words of wisdom, and stories beyond the scope of a personal tribute. Final letters can also be dictated and beautifully organized for gifting, sometimes attached to hand-wrapped mementos or heirlooms. I may gently guide conversation, but this is a time for compassionate listening. These collections should be done one has the capacity to speak and share with minimal effort, or well in advance of dying. These projects can start at any point in someone’s adult life—not just end of life.
