Death doula support

Support through dying, caregiving, and transition

I provide non-medical support to individuals, families, and caregivers navigating serious illness, dying, and the time surrounding death. I work alongside hospice and care teams to offer practical guidance, emotional steadiness, and compassionate presence. Support is shaped around your needs, values, and circumstances.

END OF LIFE PLANNING & SUPPORT

I support individuals and families in exploring end-of-life choices, identifying resources, and creating clarity around care preferences.

This may include advance directives, care planning, and guidance in preparing for what comes next so that your values and wishes remain centered.

PRACTICAL CARE & GUIDANCE

I offer support that helps reduce overwhelm and bring guidance to an often uncertain time.

This may include:

  • Understanding changes in condition and comfort needs

  • Caregiver education and guidance (in alignment with hospice)

  • Hands-on comfort care and support for caregivers

  • Relief for caregiver fatigue, overwhelm, and burnout

  • Coordination of resources and referrals

  • Support with communication and next steps

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT & FAMILY GUIDANCE

I offer a steady, compassionate presence for individuals and families navigating anticipatory grief, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm.

This may include:

  • Support through anticipatory grief

  • Conversations around dying, values, and what matters most

  • Family communication and shared decision-making support

  • Emotional support for caregivers and loved ones

  • Space to process what is unfolding at your own pace

LEGACY & MEANING WORK

I support reflection on meaning, memory, and what you want to carry forward.

This may include:

  • Life review and storytelling

  • Dictation of letters, messages or personal reflections

  • Personalized legacy and memorial projects

  • Resources for Celebrations of Life or living funerals

VIGIL & BEDSIDE SUPPORT

I help prepare for and hold space during active dying.

This may include:

  • Vigil planning and preparation

  • Bedside presence during active dying

  • Support for loved ones at the bedside

  • Guidance during the immediate time after death

  • Education and support with body care for home viewings or funerals

  • Early grief support for families

location & pricing

In-person throughout the greater San Antonio area and virtually via phone, Zoom, or video.

My 2-hour initial intake session is $150 and includes a resource packet and written follow-up with individualized recommendations and next steps.

I offer sliding-scale options, payment plans, and limited pro bono support based on individual circumstances.

If you are seeking around-the-clock care, I can provide recommendations to insured caregiver agencies in the $25–$30/hour range.

I’m always open to a transparent, no-pressure conversation to explore what feels workable and appropriate for your situation.

Are we a good fit?

The best place to begin is with a conversation. You’re invited to complete the form below to schedule a complimentary 20–30 minute phone call, or you may email me directly. We’ll talk about what’s happening, what kind of support may be needed, and whether working together feels aligned.

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule a 2-hour initial intake session at my standard rate. During this time, we’ll review current needs, practical planning, and the type of support that would be most helpful. I’ll offer guidance, answer questions, and share relevant resources. From there, we can determine whether ongoing support feels appropriate and what that may look like.

You do not need to be on hospice to reach out. In fact, earlier conversations often bring more clarity and steadiness. I welcome individuals and families at any stage of this process.
