my name is Yasmine, and i help guide the dying through life’s final chapter.
As a death doula (or ‘end-of-life doula’), my work centers on helping people live and die with intention—honoring their choices, their stories, and the legacy they wish to leave behind. I offer practical planning, advocacy, and a grounding presence for individuals and their caregivers throughout the dying process.
Though the title of ‘death doula’ may seem modern, the act of ushering someone through their final passage is an ancient practice. My purpose is to demystify the dying process and provide support, comfort, and clarity along the way.
With a background in creative writing and lifelong love of personal stories, I ghostwrite first-person eulogies—tributes to share during life and memorials to preserve after death.
I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio and support my local community by hosting a free, affirming Queer Grief Support Group.
